The Gathering Christian Church is located in downtown Mount Vernon on the corner of 3rd and Snoqualmie. Our office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, but please call first as much of our work is done out of the office.

Elders and Ministry Leaders
The Gathering's Elder and Deacons:
The Gathering is led by group of Elders, pastors who shepherd, care for, and oversee the church. They are assisted by a team of deacons and deaconesses.
Josh Kelley, Lead Pastor
Josh Kelley has been the Lead Pastor of The Gathering since 2007. Prior to that, he was an associate pastor at His Place Community Church in Burlington, Washington. He graduated from Life Pacific College with a BA in Biblical Studies, minor in Biblical Languages. He also did graduate work at Trinity Western University in Biblical Studies.
He has been married to Marilyn since 1999 and has two daughters, Grace and Sarah. Josh has a passion for God, community, careful study of the Bible, and C. S. Lewis. He hates exercise, but does it anyways, and loves hanging out with his family and friends
Micah Kelley, Worship Pastor
Micah Kelley was a founding member of The Gathering and has been regularly attending and serving here since its first service in January of 1998. As well as serving as the Worship Pastor, Micah has been an elder for the past three years.
Micah has been married to his wife Amanda since 2001 and has a son and daughter, Damien and Kaitlyn. Micah owns and operates a cleaning business which he started five years ago. The majority of Micah’s time is spent with his family, but his passions also include writing music and hospitality.
Cecil Jevons, Pastor of Community
Cecil Jevons has been an elder at The Gathering since February, 2009. He is currently a full-time kitchen designer and lay pastor. His ministry experience includes 3 years as a Youth Pastor, as well as many years of volunteer service in youth, men's and family ministries. Cecil graduated from Life Pacific College with a BA in Biblical Studies, minor in Biblical Languages.
He has been married to Michel since 1997 and has two sons, Christopher and Benjamin. Cecil has a passion for carefully studying the Word and seeing people growing in health. Leisure activities include woodworking, running, laughing, and music.
Peter Donovan, Lead Deacon
Peter Donovan has been a part of The Gathering since its founding. In the church's eleven years of existence, Peter has served in roles ranging from janitor to elder. Currently, Peter serves as the Lead Deacon at The Gathering. He graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Public Relations.
Peter has been married to Janna since 1997, and has two boys Benjamin and Isaac. If Peter is not in his church office, or at his full time job as Executive Director of Love In the Name of Christ (a local nonprofit organization), you can probably find him training for, or racing in triathlons and marathons around the Northwest.
Matt Fowler, Deacon
Matt Fowler has been attending The Gathering since its founding in 1998. Matt is a deacon and leads worship at The Gathering.
Matt has been married to his wife Melanie since 1998, and has one boy and three girls Ezra, Juliana, Claire and Violet. Matt currently works as a landscaper by day, hairstylist at night and brewer on the weekends. Matt has a passion to serve God, and for his wife, kids, music. and brewing micros.
Michel Jevons, Deaconess
Michel Jevons has been serving as a deacon for The Gathering since 2010. She is the Optical Supervisor and Business Processes Manager for a local multi-location ophthalmology practice, where she has worked since 1998.
Michel has been married to Cecil since 1997 and has two sons, Christopher and Benjamin. Michel is passionate about processes – analyzing the way things are done and how they could be done more effectively. She is excited when those around find their niche and become passionate about their own position and purpose. In her off time, Michel enjoys cooking, entertaining, pinochle, reading and running.
Josh Krause, Deacon
Josh Krause has been a serving as a deacon at the Gathering since January, 2010. He also has been the manager of American Building & Roofing in Everett since 2003.
Josh has been married to Julie since 2002 and has two sons, Liam and Henry. He has a passion for knowing God’s truth, understanding God’s grace, and ministering through Christ. He spends most of my free time enjoying his family and friends. He is also a compulsive researcher and enjoys movies, video games and physical challenges.
